About Susan:
"I am a native Charlottean who has been painting since I was 12 when a neighbor bought a set of acrylics for me and taught me how to paint flowers on a tin pail. I have always loved to create...from painting on any and everything to making things for friends and family to interior design...it's just something I have to do! I began painting en plein air in 2016 at a workshop in the NC mountains and was hooked! I love being in the mountains and capturing the natural beauty while in the midst of it! I have also found a new freedom and passion for abstract painting in recent years.

As an artist, my passion is to paint what I love and share the beauty of what I love with others. My works are inspired by the play of shadow and light, colors that are ever changing and evocative, and the way the atmosphere can move and touch our emotions and feelings."
