About the artwork:
"While we enjoy seeing Beatles images and great Beatles artwork, I thought I’d add a wee bit of warp in the weave by creating my set of paintings, ‘Meet the Beetles!’, that offer a play on words with beetles vs. Beatles. May the pieces bring a smile to the viewers."

About Angela:
"Angela Calos is an artist based in Alexandria, Virginia, and has shown her work in the DC area for several years. She has worked in a number of mediums, such as interactive mixed media, collages, acrylic and printmaking, but finds working with pastels fun, relaxing and rewarding. Angela enjoys creating an occasional quirky, off-beat art piece, and she did just that in her ‘Meet the Beetles’ pastel collage set that is a play on words, beetles vs. Beatles. She says she giggled as she created the pieces, and hopes the art cues a smile to the face of the viewers.

Angela is a Charlotte native graduating from East Mecklenburg High School and NCSU. She is honored to be part of Charlotte’s FABFEST Beatles Festival’s Art Contest."
