About the artwork:
"NASA sent The Beatles’ song “Across the Universe” into space in the direction of Polaris. It was sent on February 4, 2008, celebrating to 40th anniversary of the song’s recording, and the 50th anniversary of NASA. It’s amazing to think that The Beatles music is not just earthbound, but is actually being played across the universe."

About Dana:
"I’m originally from Charlotte, but grew up in Greenville, SC. I studied art in high school and college, but didn’t pursue it as a career. My husband and I moved to Charlotte in 1985, and raised our three children there. I taught at St. Patrick’s School until 2012, when we moved back to Greenville. Since retiring I have taken several art classes, and have been enjoying getting back into watercolor painting and pen and ink drawings."
